1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using Contractor Hub ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("the User") and the provider of Contractor Hub ("we", "us", "our").
By ticking the consent checkbox at registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full, including the Privacy Policy which forms part of this agreement.
2. Description of Service
Contractor Hub is a cloud-based contractor business management platform. It provides South African tradespeople and contractors with tools including:
- Job, invoice, quote, and client management (Contractor Hub)
- Expense tracking, GPS mileage logging, and SARS summaries
- Contracts, bookings, payroll, compliance, safety, and warranty records
- WhatsApp Bot integration for managing the above via text commands
- SOS Dispatch Network for emergency job matching (Enterprise plan)
3. SOS Dispatch Network — Important Disclaimer
Read carefully. By using the SOS Dispatch feature you acknowledge and accept the following without reservation.
The SOS Dispatch Network is a technology platform only. It connects clients who submit emergency requests with contractors who have registered to receive them. We are a facilitator of that connection — nothing more.
- We do not vet, verify, certify, licence, or accredit any contractor listed in the SOS Dispatch Network
- We do not guarantee that any contractor who responds is qualified, insured, or competent to perform the requested work
- We do not guarantee response times, availability, or that any contractor will accept a dispatch
- We are not a party to any agreement, transaction, or service rendered between a client and a contractor
- We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of any work performed by a contractor found via SOS Dispatch
- We are not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, theft, or harm of any kind arising from a contractor attending to a client's premises
- We are not responsible for any dispute, non-payment, fraud, or misrepresentation between clients and contractors
Security: You are responsible for your own safety when admitting any person onto your premises. We strongly recommend verifying a contractor's identity, checking their credentials, and never leaving valuables unattended. We accept no responsibility for any security incident, theft, assault, or criminal act involving any person connected through the SOS Dispatch Network.
By submitting an SOS request or accepting an SOS dispatch, you agree that Contractor Hub and its operators are fully indemnified against any claim, loss, damage, liability, or expense of any nature arising from the use of the SOS Dispatch Network.
4. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Contractor Hub
- One person may not maintain more than one free account
- By registering you confirm you have ticked the consent checkbox and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy
5. WhatsApp Bot
The WhatsApp Bot integration is provided via a third-party provider. By enabling the WhatsApp Bot you acknowledge that:
- Your WhatsApp phone number and message content will be transmitted to GreenAPI's servers to deliver the service
- The Bot is provided as a convenience feature and may be unavailable due to WhatsApp policy changes or third-party outages
- We are not responsible for messages delayed, undelivered, or misrouted due to WhatsApp or GreenAPI service issues
- You must not use the WhatsApp Bot to send spam, harassment, or unlawful content
6. Subscription and Billing
- Plans are offered on a monthly subscription basis: Free Trial (30 days), Business (R149/month), Enterprise (R299/month)
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
- Payment is processed securely by PayFast. We do not store your card details
- If a payment fails, your account may be downgraded after a grace period
- We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice by email
7. Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app at Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date
- We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where we have caused service unavailability exceeding 72 consecutive hours
- After cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion
Cooling-Off Period (CPA): In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to cancel within

8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Contractor Hub to:
- Submit false, fraudulent, or malicious SOS requests
- Store or process unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading information
- Violate any applicable South African or international law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or other accounts
- Introduce viruses, malicious code, or harmful content
- Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or mirror the Service
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately for any breach of these terms, including submitting false SOS emergencies.
9. Your Data and Content
- By using the Service, you grant us a licence to store, process, and use your data to operate, improve, and provide the Service
- Both you and Contractor Hub hold rights over data entered into the Service — you retain the right to export or delete your content, while we retain the right to use aggregated or anonymised data for platform purposes
- We will not sell your personal data to third parties
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you enter, including client information and financial records
10. Intellectual Property
- The Contractor Hub software, design, code, branding, and documentation are our intellectual property, protected by copyright law
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent
- Invoice, contract, and certificate templates provided in the app are licensed to you for use within the Service only
11. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses caused by temporary unavailability, including missed SOS dispatch opportunities.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:
- Contractor Hub is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Service
- We are specifically not liable for any outcome arising from the SOS Dispatch Network, including but not limited to missed jobs, contractor non-performance, property damage, personal injury, theft, or any security incident
- Our total liability to you in any circumstances shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim
- We are not responsible for errors in your financial data, missed tax obligations, or disputes with your clients
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Contractor Hub and their operators harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, any work you perform or commission through the SOS Dispatch Network, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Privacy
Your use of Contractor Hub is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy.
15. Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, use the Service in a manner harmful to others, submit false SOS requests, or if we are required to do so by law. If we cease to offer the Service we will give at least 30 days' notice and provide a data export.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage resolving disputes amicably — contact us first before pursuing formal proceedings.
